Sandoval Economic Alliance Names New President & CEO
Rio Rancho, NM — Sandoval Economic Alliance is pleased to announce that Fred Shepherd has accepted the position of President & CEO of the organization. Shepherd, currently with the State of New Mexico Economic Development Department, will join SEA’s staff officially on December 16.
Shepherd has over a decade of Economic Development experience with four of those years at the state. Prior to his employment with NMEDD, he worked for Mesilla Valley Economic Development in Las Cruces as the Business Development Director. He relocated to Sandoval County in 2015 upon joining NMEDD’s Community, Business and Rural Development Team where he has served as a liaison between New Mexico and SEA.
“We are enthusiastic to welcome Fred to the SEA Team. His experience, skills, and existing relationships in the region will significantly contribute to the success of the organization and community. We are eager to see where he takes the organization in collaboration with Rio Rancho, and Sandoval County,” expressed SEA Board Chair Becky Teague.
Shepherd’s primary focus will be to execute the County Wide Action Strategy, further build SEA’s Projects Pipeline with companies who fall into our target clusters, and elevate the existing CORE (Business Retention & Expansion) Program.
