Targeted Industry & Laborshed Study

In August 2017, Sandoval Economic Alliance commissioned Avalanche Consulting from Austin, Texas to complete a Targeted Industry and Laborshed Study. Avalanche Consulting is one of the leading economic development consultants in the nation.

Targeted Industries

The Targeted Industry Study recommended three target clusters for new business attraction. These include:

  • Life Sciences,
  • Professional Services and Support,
  • Advanced Technology and Manufacturing.

Laborshed Study
The Sandoval County laborshed includes a total workforce of 334,000 workers. Seventy-five percent (75%) of all Sandoval County residents holding jobs leave the County daily to work elsewhere.
